sources
Every source this site cites, and when it was checked
Every factual claim on Hospice at Home Help links, in the sentence where it is made, to one of the public pages below. The anchor is the fact. Each was opened and read on the date shown; a page that could not be opened is not cited.
The sources are federal and state government pages and a small number of national nonprofits. The site does not cite news outlets, hospices, care companies or its own publisher as evidence for any fact. Where a quoted figure or rule changes, the article that quotes it will change with it; the verification date next to each entry is the date the wording on the site was checked against the page.

How to read a citation on this site
A number or a rule appears once, in the source's own words and year, with the link on the fact itself. If a page on this site says a hospice benefit lasts up to five consecutive days, the words "five consecutive days" are the link, and the link goes to the federal regulation that says so. Nothing is cited second-hand. Clinical questions are never answered from these pages; they are sent to the hospice nurse and the physician.
